TATA IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad has suffered a major setback just before the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). England all-rounder Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. This information has been given on the social media handle of IPL. South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder has been included in the team as a replacement for Carse.

“Carse is ruled out of the IPL 2025 due to an injury, and his replacement, Mulder, who is an all-rounder, will join SRH for ₹75 Lakh,” the IPL said in a release.

Mulder has been included in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for Rs 75 lakh. Sunrisers bought Mulder during the IPL mega auction in November last year at a base price of Rs 1 crore. In this way, Sunrisers got a profit of Rs 25 lakh. Talking about Mulder, he has the experience of playing 25 ODIs apart from 18 Tests. He has also played 11 T20 matches for South Africa. During this time, he has a total of 60 wickets and 970 runs in international cricket.

Brydon Carse did not participate in England's training session on 24 February due to injury. He was given a chance against Australia on 22 February in the Champions Trophy, but he was not in his top form. He also got injured during the match. He conceded runs at an economy rate of 9.85. His foot problem started on the India tour. Due to this, he even had to get stitches. He had to be out of the last two ODIs. He was fielded during the Champions Trophy and his injury got worse.

South Africa's Mulder made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in East London in 2017. He bowled an economical spell of 8-0-32-1 on his debut, taking the wicket of Mahmudullah. Mulder has played 128 T20 matches, scoring 2172 runs in 105 innings at a strike rate of 132.92, besides taking 67 wickets. He came into the auction at a base price of Rs 75 lakh but no team bid for him. Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their first match in the IPL on March 23 at home against Rajasthan Royals.
