The first batch of India Squad for 2024 T20 World Cup cricketers will leave for New York soon after the end of the IPL league phase on 19 May. India's 15 -member team for the upcoming T20 World Cup is expected to be announced in the last week of April. The ICC has given the cut-off date of submitting team to 1 May. However, the team participating in the tournament will get a chance to change the players in their initial team by 25 May.

Senior BCCI source gave PTI to know about this. The source said, the Indian team will be selected during the last week of April, by which the first part of the IPL will end and the National Selection Committee will be able to assess the form and fitness of the players.
