ICC Player of the Month: Jasprit Bumrah won everyone's heart with his performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) last month. Now Bumrah can get the reward of his hard work from the ICC. He has been nominated for the ICC 'Player of the Month'. There are three players in this list, one of whom is Australia captain Pat Cummins.

Jasprit Bumrah (India)

Bumrah took 22 wickets in three Tests in December at an average of 14.22. The 31-year-old fast bowler took a total of 32 wickets in five Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Bumrah could not bowl in the second innings of the host team in the fifth and final Test against Australia in Sydney due to back stiffness. Bumrah took nine wickets each in Brisbane and Melbourne, due to which India was successful in giving a tough challenge to the host team.

Bumrah was India’s best performer in Australia, also winning the Player of the Series award for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. These remarkable performances also earned Bumrah the highest rating points by any Indian bowler in the ICC Test Player Rankings.

Pat Cummins (Australia)

Australia skipper delivered standout performances with both ball and bat during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, guiding his team to secure a spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2025 Final, set for June.

Cummins displayed his excellent form in the three Test matches against India in December by taking 17 wickets at an impressive average of 17.64. In the Test match held in Melbourne, he also contributed with the bat by playing crucial innings of 49 and 41 runs and also took 6 wickets with bowling.

South African team has secured a place in the final of the World Test Championship and a major credit for this goes to fast bowler Dan Paterson. He achieved five-wicket hauls against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He took 13 wickets in two Test matches in December at an average of 16.92.

Paterson took 13 wickets in two Tests at an average of 16.92. His figures of 5/71 against Sri Lanka and 5/61 against Pakistan played a key role in South Africa's victories.
