India vs Bangladesh T20I Series: After team India comprehensively win the Test series by 2-0 now both the teams India and Bangladesh will face each other in three matches T20I series.

The Bangladesh squad for the three-match T20 series against India has been announced. Tiger army will play under the leadership of captain Nazmul Hossain Shanta. Soumya Sarkar was excluded from the Bangladesh team. However, 38-year-old Mahmudullah Riyad has been kept in the team. Despite his poor performance in the last T20 World Cup.

Mahmudullah's inclusion in the team can be said to be a surprise for BCB. BCB wants to use Mahmudullah's experience especially after Shakib Al Hasan's retirement from international T20.

Bangladesh Chief Selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain hailed Shakib for his contribution and feels that they will struggle to find a replacement for him.

"The great Shakib Al Hasan has already announced that he has played his last T20I for Bangladesh. We don't have anyone to replace his experience and performance, but we feel that Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a good batter who can handle the middle order. Mehidy can play as a batter. We didn't pick him in the previous [T20] World Cup as we usually feel that he has a strong role as an allrounder in Tests and ODIs," Ashraf said, as quoted from ESPNcricifno.

In Bangladesh squad allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been recalled to Bangladesh's T20 squad after 14 months. The 26-year-old Miraz missed the 2024 T20 World Cup, having last played in a bilateral series against Afghanistan in July 2023. He joins a strong spin-attack for the upcoming series, which also includes Rakibul Hasan and young sensation Rishad Hussain.

The first T20I of India vs Bangladesh T20I Series is set to be played on October 6 in Gwalior, while the teams will play the remaining two on October 9 (New Delhi) and October 12 (Hyderabad).
