Australia Won the ODI Series against England by 3-2: The Australian cricket team defeated England by 49 runs using the DLS method in the 5th ODI played on Sunday. With this, the Kangaroo team won the 5-match ODI series 3-2.

England batted first and thrashed the Australian bowlers and scored 309 runs in 50 overs. In response, Australia made a great start and scored 165 runs in 21 overs losing only 2 wickets. But then suddenly it started raining in the match. Both the teams waited for a long time, however in the end when it came to DLS, the Australian team was ahead. In such a situation, the umpire gave the decision in favor of the team Kangaroos.

For team England opener Ben Duckett scored 107 runs and captain Harry Brook also contributed 72 runs. Both of them shared a 132 run partnership for the third wicket in 98 balls. After losing 2 wickets at 202, England lost their last 8 wickets at 107 runs and the entire team was all out at 309 runs. From Australia's side, part time spinner Travis Head did wonders with the ball and took 4 wickets for 28 runs.

Matthew Short and Travis Head started the innings for Australia. Short scored 58 runs while Head left 31 runs and the two had an opening partnership of 78 runs. Australia had scored more than this in just 7 overs.

However, it rained during the Australian innings. But then the Australia had scored 165 runs after losing 2 wickets in 20.4 overs. In such a situation, the Australian team was ahead of the par score under the DLS rule. The umpire did the final inspection and declared the Australian team the winner.

Australia had won the first two matches in the 5 match ODI series. After this, England made a strong comeback in the series and tied the series 2-2. But rain spoiled the game of the English.

Talking about the entire series, Australia won the first ODI by 7 wickets. The team won the second ODI by 68 runs. After this, England made a comeback and won the third ODI by 46 runs under DLS rule. The team won the fourth ODI by 186 runs which was a big victory. But the Australian team won the last ODI.
