It is very important for India to win this Test match in view of the World Test Championship final. The Test match played after Christmas is called the Boxing Day Test match. Sam Constas is making his debut in international cricket in this Test match for Australia. Constas is 19 years and 85 days old.

There was one change in both the teams for this match. Australia replaced Josh Hazlewood with Scott Boland and India replaced Shubman Gill with Washington Sundar. The Kangaroos had a good start and 19-year-old debutant Sam Constas shared an 89-run partnership for the first wicket with Usman Khawaja. Constas batted aggressively in his debut match and targeted Bumrah. He scored a half-century. However, after this he was out LBW on Ravindra Jadeja's ball. Constas was out after scoring 60 runs in 65 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.

 

After this, Khawaja made a partnership of 65 runs with Steve Smith for the second wicket. Khawaja scored the 27th half-century of his Test career. He was out on Bumrah's bowling after scoring 57 runs in 121 balls with the help of six fours. At the same time, could not open the head account. He was clean bowled by Bumrah.

Bumrah then dismissed Mitchell Marsh cheaply. He could score four runs. Labuschagne played an innings of 72 runs in 145 balls with the help of seven fours. This was the 22nd half-century of his Test career. At the same time, Smith has batted brilliantly so far. He hit five fours and one six in his unbeaten innings of 68 runs off 111 balls.

Bumrah took three wickets for India. Whereas, Akash Deep, Jadeja and Sundar got one wicket each.
