Afghanistan vs New Zealand One of Test, Noida: The only test match will be played between New Zealand cricket team and Afghanistan cricket team from 9th September. This match will be played at Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground, India. Afghanistan Cricket Board on Friday announced a 16-member team for this test. Hashmatullah Shahidi will take charge of the team.

Afghanistan Cricket Board wrote on X, "ACB's selection committee announced the 16-member squad for the one-off test match against New Zealand starting this Monday in Greater Noida, India. The team has been finalized based on the performance of the players in the preparation camp."

After getting permission from the Indian Cricket Board BCCI, the management has started preparations before the match. Preparations regarding the pitch have also started. The match will take place from 9th September.

Afghanistan Squad For New Zealand Test
Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Abdul Malik, Riaz Hassan, Afsar Zazai (wk), Ikram Alikhil (wk), Bahir Shah, Shahidullah Kamal, Azmatullah Omarzai, Shams Ur Rahman, Zia-ur-Rehman, Zahir Khan, Qais Ahmad, Khalil Ahmad and Nijat Masood.

"The squad is finalized based on players' performance in the preparation camp. It is worth mentioning that 19 players participated in a preparation camp for around 10 days in Greater Noida and eventually, after consultation with the captain and coaching staff, the 16-member squad was finalised today," said Afghanistan Cricket Board in a release.

ACB has included three uncapped players in Afghanistan's final 16-member squad, which includes opener batsman Riyaz Hasan, all-rounder Shamsur Rahman and fast bowler Khalil Ahmed.

Experienced fast bowler Tim Southee will be the captain of the New Zealand team, while the team also has players like Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra.

India vs New Zealand Test Series
After playing the only Test with Afghanistan in September, New Zealand will play a 3-match Test series with India in October. This series will start from 16th October. The first Test will be played in Bengaluru, the second Test in Pune and the third Test in Mumbai.
