" It becomes very difficult to make a comeback when you are out of form", Brian Lara shares his thoughts on Rajasthan Royals' sliding form
The former West Indian great stated that sometimes it becomes very difficult to pull yourself out of such situation.
Former West Indies left-hander and skipper Brian Lara shared his views on Rajasthan Royals' disappointing run in the ongoing IPL season. Although the team has made it to the playoffs, the outfit's recent form doesn't justify their trophy-winning ambitions.
Lara said the team is going through a challenging phase and it needs to make a comeback. The Trinidadian pointed out that that team isn't scoring big and their recent slump is making it difficult for them to bounce back. Lara said, " Although the team has made it to the playoffs it surprises him how the team would turn things around.
While conversing with Star Sports, Lara said, "The team isn't scoring big and when you are out of form it sometimes gets difficult to pull yourself out of it. The team is in the playoffs but I am surprised how will they bounce back from here on looking at their recent form."
Rajasthan Royals looked in fine form in their earlier matches but their recent loss to Punjab Kings was their fourth consecutive loss in a row. Lara said "RR need to win their next game. The team management needs to analyze why the team isn't performing as it performed in the first phase."
Lara said the team is capable of turning things around as they can make a strong comeback keeping in mind the resources they have in their dugout. Lara said, " They need to get themselves out of this situation and I hope they are back to winning ways."
Their next game is against Kolkata Knight Riders on the 19th of May and the team would be hoping to get back to winning ways which would act as a morale booster ahead of the playoffs and which would also determine their ability to win the trophy.
