After being out for five months due to injury, Ravindra Jadeja is expected to rejoin the Indian team. In the next home Test series between India and Australia, Ravindra Jadeja will return to action and discusses how it feels to be part of the team. The legendary all-rounder rejoins the Indian team's locker room following a five-month injury absence. He suffered a knee injury in an Asia Cup 2022 match against Hong Kong last year.

He was also unable to compete in the ensuing T20 World Cup 2022 due to the injury. Jadeja followed a rehabilitation regimen at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) following a successful knee surgery before returning to the pitch. He demonstrated his match readiness against Tamil Nadu in a Ranji Trophy match by picking up seven wickets, and he is currently preparing for the opening Test match against Australia in Nagpur.

Jadeja talked extensively about his recovery before the first game of the series. In the video posted to bcci.tv, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play for the national team once more. "I'm quite happy. I am wearing an Indian jersey for the first time in more than five months, and it feels incredibly good. I consider myself really fortunate to have another opportunity to play for India.

The trip had its ups and downs since being away from cricket for so long makes you prone to frustration. I was looking forward to playing for India once I was in shape "Jadeja made this statement in a video that the BCCI posted on their social media pages. Jadeja's final Test match was the delayed fifth Test against England at Birmingham in July 2022. The decision to have surgery on his right knee was then discussed. "I was having trouble with my knee somewhere, so I had to have surgery. However, I had to decide if I should finish it before or after the (T20) World Cup.

"The surgeon had also encouraged me to get it done before the World Cup since I would have had a very slim chance of playing in the tournament even if I hadn't had surgery. I therefore decided to go for it, but the time after that was quite difficult because of the ongoing rehab and training required there "The all-arounder said.
